  • If you develop symptoms you should come forward for testing. The closest COVID testing locations are:
    Manning Hospital
    26 York Street, Taree, NSW 2430
    Open: 8am to 4:30pm, 7 days
  • Booking required prior to screening, call (02) 6592 9850
  • Taree Respiratory clinic – Look up Hot Doc online and select Taree Respiratory Clinic and select an appointment  – open 9am -4pm
  • Forster at the Private Hospital in South Street – Laverty Clinic – 6554 7129 – for an appointment there you must have a referral from your GP.

Cancellations to existing bookings will be as per our current Terms and Conditions. If the NSW Government enforces a lockdown, we will offer a credit for the value of your reservastion to transfer you dates or a refund may be requested (less any merchant fees incurred by Pacific Palms Holidays).

With travel restrictions eased from 01 June 2020, we look forward to welcoming guests once again to our very special region. Although eased, the need remains to ensure the continued safety of guests, team members, contractors and the wider community from COVID.

Prospective guests must confirm that in the 14 days prior to their bookings arrival they have,

  • Not returned from overseas
  • Not been in close contact with someone who has COVID
  • Not been in a COVID hot spot
  • Not had a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath other cold/flu-like symptoms
  • Been previously diagnosed with COVID

If you are unwell – DO NOT TRAVEL. If having made a booking, your situation changes within the 14 days prior to your arrival and you are unable to meet the COVID criteria above we will issue a booking credit.

Our cleaners have been advised of and are working to the cleaning guidelines and practices issued by Work Safe NSW.

NSW Government Restrictions

At Pacific Palms Holidays we are committed to doing our best to stop the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of our community, guests and team members.

Unfortunately, this is not the time to be exploring the Palms; in fact, it’s the opposite. In travelling to our region, there is a greater chance of spreading the virus, endangering communities and lives.

The NSW government have passed further restrictions on gatherings and movements which commence 31 March 2020 and will expire at the end of 29 June 2020 (unless revoked earlier).

All persons are being urged to stay at home as outlined in the Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gatherings and Movement) Order 2020.

What is a reasonable excuse to travel?

  • obtaining food or other goods and services, or
  • travelling for the purposes of work or education if it is not possible to do it at home, or
  • exercise, or
  • medical or caring reasons.

Taking a holiday in a regional area is not a reasonable excuse to travel. If your travel does meet these requirements please contact our team to discuss.

What are My Options ?

  • We are offering all of our guests with bookings in this period a booking credit which is valid for 12 months, or
  • We can move your booking to future dates. or
  • We can provide a refund.

If you have booked via Airbnb or Booking.com please request a cancellation with them directly.

A Message from the Team at Pacific Palms Holidays

We strive to ensure every one of our valued guests and travellers visiting our beautiful region have a safe and enjoyable stay. This enduring value guides us as we face the difficult challenge of responding to the coronavirus (COVID-19), which the World Health Organization declared a pandemic on Wednesday 11th March 2020.

To all the people who have been affected by this unprecedented event, our hearts and thoughts are with you. We also acknowledge and appreciate the healthcare workers, local communities, and governments around the world who are on the front line working to contain this coronavirus. Please know that we are vigilantly monitoring the COVID-19 situation around the clock and have precautions in place to ensure a healthy stay at any of our properties.

In this climate, we know travel may not be your first thought, but we want you to know the safety of our guests and associates is our top priority. We want to thank you in advance for putting your trust in Pacific Palms Holidays as you plan for future travels. Below is an update on what we are doing, keeping your safety top of mind.


You should have confidence when you book a stay at any of our properties that we are doing everything we can to have accommodations ready for you. We are closely monitoring the advice provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with local health agencies for the latest developments related to COVID-19 and following the guidance of government and public health officials. We are reinforcing these agencies’ recommendations on the appropriate health and safety measures.


Given the impact of COVID-19 on how we work, socialize and travel, we have been adapting our cancellation policy due to the evolving nature of this epidemic. In good faith, we have updated our policies to provide greater flexibility during these challenging times. Generally speaking, we will allow modifications free of charge for guests with existing reservations, if done so before 30th April 2020.  Pacific Palms Holidays will refer all cancellations within 60 days of arrival to the property owner.  All refunds will now be subject to the property owners discretion.

Our housekeepers have been adviced of the Department of Health Environmental cleaning and disinfection principles for COVID-19 we have also incorporated the Information for hotels and hotel staff


We recognize that the COVID-19 virus requires all of us to be more mindful as we go through our regular activities. These are unsettling times and whether you are traveling now or in the future, we want you to know that your safety and wellbeing are our first priority and we are working to ensure that we meet the latest guidance with regards to hygiene and cleaning. We have imposed our own Office COVID-19 Guidelines.
