Aleda House is perfect for those seeking truly unique kayaking & paddling adventures but there is plenty of room to park your boat if motorised watercraft is your thing. Local boat ramps are located at Violet Hill (sealed) and Neranie (unsealed) for Myall Lakes, and Brambles Reserve (sealed) for Smiths Lake. There is also an unsealed boat ramp at the end of Mayers Point (4WD access) suitable for small boats only. Mobile phone reception is strong for most networks.

The Myall Lakes National Park boasts more than 40kms of pristine sandy beaches, protected hardwood forests, internationally recognised Ramsar wetlands, rugged escarpments, endless tracks and trails and the spectacular Broughton Island. ‘Must see’ spots within the park include Mungo Brush, Seal Rocks, the Dark Point sand dunes and the ‘Tops to Myalls’ Heritage Trail.
